Demand for delivery services has accelerated due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They’re useful for everyone practicing physical distancing (which should be all of us who can; shoutout to the grocery store employees, post office workers, doctors, nurses and everyone else providing essential services during this scary time!), and especially for those who are more vulnerable to the illness and have to be extra vigilant about exposure.
Many delivery providers have increased their service hours in response to demand, but they’re still being kept extremely busy. For this reason, many providers caution that deliveries can’t always be made on time, and warn that time slots are filling up days in advance. Keep this in mind when ordering online, be patient—and don’t forget to tip!
